My Story
Hi, I’m Stacie Acevedo, the eye and heart behind Stacie Acevedo Photography—and I’m so glad you’re here.
I’m lucky to call Florida home, where the wild beauty of the Everglades meets the peaceful stretch of coastal shores. The wetlands, the beaches, and the wildlife that thrive between them are my inspiration and my playground.
Whether I’m walking barefoot along the shoreline at sunrise or wandering a boardwalk with my camera in hand, I’m endlessly captivated by the creatures, colors, and quiet magic of the natural world around me.
The Moment Everything Shifted
My passion for nature photography actually started in a fun—and totally unexpected—way, thanks to my husband. After I snapped one too many photos of him, he joked, “Why don’t you go find something else to photograph?”
Now, every time I head out with my camera, I feel that same sense of excitement and curiosity. Nature always has a surprise waiting—it’s never the same scene twice, and that’s what makes every outing an adventure.
Growing Through the Lens
My heart may live in the wild, but I’ve also had a little fun stepping into the spotlight of fine art photography. Turns out, black-and-white and bold color like me too! I was recently named a nominee in not one, but two international competitions
- The Spider Awards– a global celebration of striking black-and-white photography
- The International Color Awards– honoring the magic of color around the world

We'll Show You the World
When I’m not exploring the wetlands, you can usually find me on one of Florida’s breathtaking beaches at sunrise or sunset, camera in hand. The shifting colors of the sky never cease to amaze me, and I live for those moments when the full moon rises over the horizon, casting a silver or orange glow across the water.
For me, moonrises over the ocean are pure magic!
Wild Encounters
Just as the beaches feed my love of light and sky, the wetlands spark my sense of adventure. One of the best parts of exploring these wild places is never knowing who—or what—I’ll meet along the way. From majestic eagles soaring overhead to sneaky iguanas and sunbathing alligators, every walk feels like a mini safari.
Wildlife is unpredictable, fascinating, and full of surprises—that’s what keeps me coming back again and again. I’ve even been lucky enough to spot wild bobcats—always from a safe distance, of course! As a lifelong cat lover, catching one bobcat hissing at another felt like peeking into a secret drama unfolding in the wild—absolutely unforgettable.
And honestly? That’s half the fun—because who knows what incredible creature I’ll stumble upon next?
